Virtual Retail Project
For this project, we were to develop a complete retail platform from brand concept to product development to retail store design to website planning with an emphasis on visual impact. I further developed my technological skills by utilizing Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Mock Shop Virtual Retail Store software programs.
Brand Concept Board
The purpose of this assignment was to create a brand concept board for a clothing label that targets some segment of women over 55. This concept guided the development of a clothing collection, the design of a virtual store, and a web style guide.
The store we created is "Poised," the target market is classy, sophisticated women within the age range from 50-70. The name “Poised” was inspired by our target market. A poised woman is confident, graceful, and elegant, much like the women that will shop in our store. Our target market prefers chic, classy clothing that is comfortable and durable. They prefer a more modest look while not looking too traditional. Our customer desires to look put-together and respectable while remaining stylish and fresh. This is because their needs must be met while not making them feel the age that they are. This board was created using Adobe Photoshop.
The purpose of this assignment was to assemble a virtual retail shop concept, including all merchandise, fixtures, interior décor choices, and signs/graphics.
This project was created in the program Mock Shop. The clothing in the store is the collection I created in Adobe Illustrator. The signage for the store, I created in Adobe Photoshop.

This assignment was created using Adobe Illustrator. The purpose of this assignment was to create a clothing collection for a season of our choosing to populate our virtual retail store in Mock Shop. This seasonal collection is responsive to the Brand Concept we created, portraying a fashion forward yet age appropriate style.
